“Indian Civilization and Culture’ is an essay that presents the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi about the Indian civilization and culture. He compares the Indian or the ancient civilization with the Western or the modern civilization. He says that Indian civilization develops morality while Western civilization spreads immorality. Our civilization can teach the world, therefore, we need not copy the Western civilization. Our ancestors advised us to maintain distance from the use of machinery because the use of machinery may paralyse our hands and feet. They suggested resisting our wants to lead a happy life. Our Civilization is still alive while the other civilizations of the world died. Therefore, in Gandhiji’s words if we want our India to rise and shine, we should always value the glory and dignity of our civilization and culture. There is no match for it in this world where a mad rush for materials has deadened the mind of people
→भारतीय सभ्यता एवं संस्कृति
‘इंडियन सिविलाइजेशन एण्ड कल्चर’ एक निबंध है जो प्रस्तुत करता है महात्मा गाँधी के विचारों को भारतीय सभ्यता और संस्कृति के बारे में। वो भारतीय या प्राचीन सभ्यता की तुलना करते हैं पश्चिमी या आधुनिक सभ्यता से। दो कहते हैं कि भारतीय सभ्यता नैतिकता को विकसित करती है जबकि पश्चिमी सभ्यता अनैतिकता को फैलाती है। हमारी सभ्यता दुनिया को पढ़ा सकता है, इसलिए हमलोगों को पश्चिमी सभ्यता की नकल करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। हमारे पूर्वजों ने हमलोगों को सुझाव दिया मशीनरी के इस्तेमाल से दूर रहने के लिए क्योंकि मशीनरी का इस्तेमाल हमारे हाथों और पावों में लकवा ला सकता है। उनलोगों ने सझाया इच्छाओं पर प्रतिबन्ध खुश जीवन जीने के लिए। हमारी सभ्यता अभी भी जीवित है जबकि दूसरी सभ्यताएँ दनिया की नष्ट हो गयी। इसलिए.-गाँधीजी के शब्दों में, अगर हम अपने भारत को ऊँचाई पर चमकना देखना चाहते हैं, हमें हमेशा अहमियत देना होगा गौरव और सम्मान को हमारी सभ्यता और संस्कृति का इसका कोई जोड़ नहीं है, इस दुनिया में जहाँ एक पागल दौड़ भौतिकता के लिए, लोगों के मस्तिष्क को मृत कर दी है।[wp_ad_camp_3]
